Personal Heartache
Delving into Traci’s history is an emotional journey. Her past is one in which significant events unfolded that would tear at the very core of Traci’s life. On October 25, 2015, Traci lived out the unthinkable. Her husband had left in the morning to participate in a race in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In the blink of an eye Traci was contacted by the hospital. Her husband had collapsed while running. This came as a shock as Traci stated, “He went to CrossFit every morning and was in great shape.” Even through that reality, Traci’s husband passed due to his heart giving out. Her heart was understandably shattered beyond belief.
After enduring this tragic ordeal, another surreal near-death event occurred seven years later. Traci’s daughter, who was only nine years old at the time, suffered a horrific accident on a ski trip. While on her skis, Traci’s daughter was knocked into the air by another skier. “My daughter was dead for ten minutes. I could feel my soul leaving me when the medical staff told me they were working on her,” said Traci. Miraculously, after surviving the intensity of a six hour surgery, and procuring an excellent doctor who refused to give up, Traci’s daughter is now a thriving 13 year old teenager.
Traci is currently engaged and shares a seven year old with her fiancé. As a baby, Traci stated that at 18 months old her daughter experienced Grand Mal seizures. Another emotional ordeal that Traci disclosed is that due to this condition, her daughter is not able to be covered by insurance.
The Professional Realization and Growth
These life-altering experiences provided clarity for Traci on the importance of ensuring appropriate and personalized insurance policies for loved ones. Traci is wholly committed to helping even, “Anyone who has as little as $50,” said Traci. “I believe life insurance is for the living. What it truly is, is the most powerful tool to pass on after someone passes,” stated Traci. The philosophy Traci follows is that “Life insurance is Love insurance.” This is an uplifting perspective on a topic that many seem to want to put off discussing, for one reason or another. Traci recognizes this and wants to pour into her clients with all the wisdom she has gained, professionally and personally regarding the absolute essential significance of investments and life insurance for all.
Traci has previously worked as an independent broker. She owned her own business called Shine On Investments. The birth of this company came from Traci’s long standing success working at Riverfront Financial. When she left there, her desire was to help more people.
The Moral Road
Traci Kovacic is an insurance agent who follows her conviction about practicing sound ethical practice in assisting clients. “I am in this industry to help people, and don’t want to take money from my clients,” says Traci. She does not believe in charging an assets under management fee. This is where an agent will charge a percentage of what their client pays for their policies. Traci has a word of advice when clients are seeking out an agent, “Choose one who does not look at you as a number, but as a human being.” Why does Traci continue to immerse herself in the insurance business? “I do this to help educate people, I am a client’s personal concierge,” says Traci.
Embracing A New Path
Traci has now pivoted from that role into an exciting endeavor, teaming up with other individuals to help clients in the Primerica Company. This team consists of mentors for Traci who are helping her with the transition into the Primerica family. Traci Kovacic, Marta Sauret Greca, and Lisa Fera are all part of the Shine On team! These are women who are dedicated to guiding clients into customized investments and insurance policies that work for the clients personal situations.
Exciting Projects for Traci
Recently, Traci was contacted to be a part of a film entitled Legacy Makers. Traci went from Pennsylvania to Florida to film on set. “They treated me like a celebrity,” said Traci of her time with the crew. “I was just excited to have this opportunity to tell my story in a composed way, states Traci.”
Traci’s ultimate goals, in addition to growing as an insurance agent for people, is to give a TedX talk and participate in speaking engagements in schools and churches, etc…
