Singer-songwriter, yoga facilitator and breathwork practitioner Lena Younes announces the release of her debut album, Ways of the Dreamer, a deeply personal collection of nine songs exploring healing, motherhood, and ancestral connection. As a first glimpse into this transformative body of work, Lena presents the poignant single “Presence”, a heartfelt tribute to her late mother, who passed away unexpectedly the day before her daughter’s first birthday.

“Presence came to me about a month after my mother’s funeral. It reflects my thoughts on how we connect with ancestors we’ve never met—or only briefly knew. My daughter will grow up without her grandmother, just as I did, but she carries her smile, her expressions, her essence. This song is my way of processing that absence and honouring the invisible bonds that transcend time.” – Lena Younes

A Journey of Healing Through Music and Breathwork

Set for release in May 2025, Ways of the Dreamer is the result of a six-year creative process shaped by loss, transformation, and the profound experience of becoming a mother. Lena’s songwriting was reignited after her first week of intensive conscious connected breathwork, unlocking a wave of creativity that turned personal struggles into deeply meaningful music.

The album was recorded entirely remotely, produced by Sebastian Brice from his studio in Frome, UK, while Lena recorded vocals in an intimate and unexpected setting—her father’s wardrobe in Tavira, Portugal. Each track tells a story woven with raw emotion, inviting listeners on a journey of self-reflection and healing.

Highlights from Ways of the Dreamer

  • “Pray” – A song about finding home in times of uncertainty.
  • “Ways of the Dreamer” – Inspired by the wide, wonder-filled eyes of her newborn daughter.
  • “Presence” – A deeply moving reflection on loss and ancestral connection.
  • “Human” – An ode to the fragility and sensitivity of being human.
  • “My Daughter” – Co-written with her father, celebrating the intergenerational bond.

Beyond Music: A Holistic Creative Project

Accompanying the album, Lena plans to release a book featuring lyrics, poetry, and reflections on her creative process. Her work extends beyond music, integrating her expertise in yoga and breathwork—disciplines she has taught for over a decade—to offer a transformative experience to her audience.
