Hi! My name is Callie, I’m 9-years-old, and I started a business called Game On, Girls! I got the idea because I play softball and noticed that a lot of sports clothes for girls are not actually made for girls. Most brands seem to make clothes for boys first and
then just change them a little for girls later. Sometimes the clothes are too big, too long, or just do not fit right for girls who actually play softball.
I remember asking my mom, why isn’t there a sports brand made just for girls like me? That’s when I thought of Game On, Girls! and asked her if we could do it ourselves. I wanted to create clothes that girls would feel confident and comfortable wearing both on and off the field. I also wanted girls to feel represented. Girls work just as hard as boys do in sports, and we deserve clothes that were
made for us from the very beginning.
Softball is really important to me. I play on three teams every year. I love the teamwork, the hustle, the dirt, and the confidence I feel when I step up to the plate. But sometimes girls’ sports do not
get the same attention as boys’ sports. That made me want to create something bigger than just clothes.
Game On, Girls! is about showing girls that they deserve to be
seen. It is about creating a brand built by a girl and worn by girls who play. One thing that makes this business extra special is that my mom played softball too and she now coaches girls. My mom told me she felt some of the same things when she was younger. When I shared my idea with her, we realized we could help create something we both wished existed.
Now we are building it together and it is really fun. My favorite part is thinking about girls everywhere wearing Game On, Girls!
at practices, tournaments, and games. Every picture, every team, and every girl wearing the brand helps show the world that girls’ sports matter too. When girls wear Game On, Girls! they are not just wearing a shirt. They are becoming part of a movement that supports confidence, representation, and girls in sports.
