On May 21, 2026 a group of supporters came together at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to witness human kindness unfold. During this event a collaborative donation was issued to enhance the lives of patients.
Members of the Global Sisterhood nonprofit organization collaborated with Kimberly Hoffman’s Lace and Legacy pop-up boutique to present donated funds totaling $15,765. The funds will be disbursed into 3 areas of the hospital including: the MDA clinic (muscular dystrophy) department, the neurosurgery 
department, and Childlife which includes trained staff who help families navigate various experiences. Each of these departments were given a check for $5,260. These funds are non-reimbursable, dependent on philanthropy.
Kimberly Hoffman expressed her appreciation for those who donated through both the Global Sisterhood and through her pop-up boutique, where beautiful dresses of all styles were donated and sold for charity. Hoffman’s hope for the outcome of money contributed by generous hearts are based on focused intention for patients receiving care. “What meant the most to me at Children’s was donating the money to Dr. Hoda and the MDA clinic as well as Child Life. Seeing the smiles on their faces, knowing that that money would be used to help other kids was what it was all about. My hope would be for a child with muscular dystrophy to receive a new wheel chair or their first chair. Maybe replace broken parts to a chair or provide money for therapy. For neurology, I would like them to focus on aftercare with patients suffering from a traumatic brain injury, and child life to enrich the lives of the children,” stated Hoffman. Muscular Dystrophy is close to Hoffman’s heart as her son Zachary, who is now 25 years old, was diagnosed with this condition.
Dr. Shellie Hipsky the Executive Director of the Global Sisterhood became aligned with the Lace and Legacy boutique, whose mission is to donate all funds from sales of donated dresses to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Hipsky was delighted to interview Dr. Hoda (neurologist who treated Hoffman’s son with his muscular dystrophy), and Hoffman during filming for the upcoming Global Sisterhood docuseries.
The promise of future collaboration was a highlight of the conversation, as Hipsky and Hoffman eagerly discussed ambitions to work on more projects together. When asked about what drew Hipsky to the vision and success of Lace and Legacy she stated, “I saw women come together to support each other and personally knew this kind of impact on community and family.”
Studio Raw Elite, owned by Dan Burda held a prom event with the dresses from Lace and Legacy, and it was at this event that 
Dr. Shellie was made aware of the work they did to benefit others, it put their organization on Hipsky’s radar and she knew this alignment was kismet. Kimberly Hoffman has a goal to implement another fundraiser in the fall, possibly a Homecoming Drive, in addition to continuing fundraising events in the Spring. These aspirations just may be in affiliation with the Global Sisterhood as Hoffman stated that this nonprofit, “… opened my eyes and heart, I want to do more now.”
In addition to Dr. Shellie Hipsky in attendance, other members of the Global Sisterhood present to witness this momentous occasion included Eva Dixon, Marta Sauret Greca, and Priscilla Green.
