Imagine stepping into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, ordering up a hearty meal, and topping it off with decadent chocolate desserts and drinks? This is exactly what we felt like we got to feast on everything chocolate at Max Brenner during our mother/daughter trip to New York City! If you visit, you can belly up to the Chocolate Bar and indulge in decadent pastries, creamy chocolate fondue and thick milkshakes.
We sat in the main dining room after we meandered through the elaborate chocolate gift shop complete with Hug Mugs specially made for hot cocoa and First Aid Chocolate Kits for sweet tooth emergencies!
The chocolate pizza features milk and white chocolate chunks and a choice of toppings, including crunchy hazelnut bits, melted peanut butter and roasted marshmallows. And the fondue is divine with fruits and cookie bits that take a warm dip in a chocolate bath. The hot chocolate was met with glee by the girls and the chocolate martini made me smile.
I get it. It’s not the place a dentist would take her own kids to most likely, but if you are looking for a unique and delicious spot in New York City to give in to your chocolate urges, giggle with the kids, and have a great meal (yes, they do also have delicious burgers and fries, plus other traditional American fare)… Max Brenner is a chocolatey dream come true!
