The biennial Global Sisterhood’s Global Gala and Mastermind was held April 13–15 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. Sponsored by platinum sponsor Inspiring Lives Magazine, the Mastermind featured a weekend of networking, brainstorming, and connection with female industry leaders from around the world. Speakers for the Mastermind were visibility coach and online crimes activist Darieth Chisolm, social issues activist and producer Jacquelyn Aluotto & Anika Jackson, and actress and disability activist Eileen Grubba.

The Gala, held on Saturday night, featured international food and entertainment. Performances that night were by vocalists Ranella, Lydia Elle, Bruce R. Story-Camp, Samantha Roth, and Brandyn Bre’o Blackwell; Sourie Iskaba, belly dancing group; Balafon West African Dance Ensemble; Elizabeth Steele, Dance Extensions Performing Arts; First Class Bhangra Dancers; HOT Warriors; Chris Young, Martial Arts Lion & Dragon Dance; and Tom Kolos and Group, salsa dancers, with Jess Branas, radio personality and host of Drinks with Jess, DJing the event. The Global Sisterhood 501 (c)(3) nonprofit donated proceeds from the event to Zephaniah Free Education, a school in Pakistan that helps girls achieve an education equal to that provided for boys.
