Yes, you have heard all the things about the Law of Attraction, and you may have even used it to a great or lesser effect, depending on how much you were getting in your own way. So how do you consistently get whatever you want, whenever you want? How do you know if you are doing it right if what you ask for doesn’t show up?

Chances are, you are missing the key, even as you stand right in front of the door that contains all your desires, goals, and dreams too big for you to fully allow.

You have probably also heard about staying positive, acting positive, and attracting positive things into your life. For most of us, we spend far too much time in the negative. Think about the way most people go to church. They go a few hours a week, focusing at least part of their attention on their spiritual life, and the rest of the time basically ignoring God, and often feeling guilty about it.

That’s pretty much how we all are about the things that we desire. First, we think a positive thought and then we think nine negative thoughts in a row right after that.

Like maybe you have this thought: “I would love a new car!” That’s a positive thought – you may even be able to see yourself for a split-second driving around in the car of your dreams.

Yet that is usually followed by:

“I can’t afford it.”
“My insurance will go up.”
“My husband won’t agree.”
“My old car is fine.”
etc.

Congratulations! You have just negated any positive energy that you had put out into the Universe just a moment before. In fact, you have likely had so many negative thoughts, it’s like when you eat celery on a diet. It burns more calories chewing than a stalk of celery has, so you end up with “net minus” calories. Most of us end up with “net minus” energy, which either keeps us in stasis or possibly even drags us down in a worse position than when we started.

So how do you fix it?

Feed the positive, yes. And… starve the negative.

What you focus on expands, right? The reverse is true as well. What you withdraw your energy from withers and dies. Imagine two plants: the Positive Tree and the Negative Tree. Spend all your time watering only the Positive Tree and simply give the Negative Tree none of your attention. It will starve to death, and pretty quickly.

The Bible says it like this: “I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten.” Manifestation can happen really quickly when you get out of the way. You can literally undo years of bad habits and focusing on the wrong things, fast enough to change your life noticeably in a few short weeks.

Here are some pitfalls to watch out for:

Trust Yourself

So many of my clients over the years have pointed to their previous mistakes as to why they are unworthy of self-trust. Yet, those lessons are the very things that formed the magnificent being that you are today. And if you weren’t using the right tools, you weren’t getting the right results anyway. New tool, new results. Trust yourself!

Don’t Let Someone Else Talk You Out of It

I’ve been doing this long enough that I am an expert, both in coaching and manifestation. Yet, when one shares what they are doing with friends or family, they may act like they are the experts, and suddenly tell you that it will never work, that you shouldn’t bother, or kindly point out the mistakes that you have made in the past and how this is likely to be another one. If you have people like that in your life, don’t share your new approach. They are not going to make you feel better, and you’re not going to be able to change their minds. Sometimes, it’s best to keep things to yourself and be a little mysterious until you get the results that you want. Then when they come asking for your secret, you can share because now they will listen.

Keep Your Eyes on the Prize

When we try something new, we don’t get immediate gratification; so, we think that it’s not working. Stop paying any attention to the results and focus only on the process of the practice you are starting. It takes up to 90 days to develop a habit. Keep going.

Now that you have acquired the missing key to manifestation, apply it and, in no time at all, you’ll start seeing more of what you desire happen mysteriously (almost magically) in your life.
